DPS holds a public auction of surplus furniture and equipment approximately two to three times a year at the CEP.
For Denver Public Schools and Departments only: To allow DPS personnel to view all available items for possible use in their school or department, notification is sent to all principals and department heads outlining the preview/selection schedule. An open house is held at the Jason Street Warehouse prior to each scheduled auction. Items selected are delivered to your facility. Any items not selected are placed in the auction and sold.
Auctions are open to the public as well as DPS personnel who wish to purchase items for their own personal use.
Auctions are usually held on a Saturday in late Spring (May) and Fall (November). Doors will open at 9 AM for a two hour viewing period prior to the auction, which will begin at 11 AM. The duration of the auction will be determined by activity and volume of merchandise being auctioned. The auction is usually over by 3 PM. Only cash or check with appropriate identification will be accepted as payment. No credit card purchases are allowed. The auction is conducted by Dickensheet Associates ; a list of items to be auctioned is usually available on their website a few weeks prior to the auction.
